Dawn's House

One day my said, "I have somewhere to go. So, you and Adi are going to Dawn's house. Megan and Grace are going to babysit you."

I was a little nervous and excited at the same time because I like going to Dawn's house, but I had never been to her house without Mommy.

When we got there, I was still a little nervous. But, we went downstairs and played with dolls. They have a lot of dolls and doll stuff like crutches, a wheelchair, dogs, and a tv. Me and Adi picked our dolls and started dressing them up. At the end, they looked very pretty.

After we made a house with the dolls' beds, a couch, a dinner table, and a bathroom. Then we started to play. When we were done playing downstairs, we played hide and seek. It was hard to find a good hiding place because Megan and Grace lived there and knew all of the good places. They knew where to find us.

When we were all done playing, it was time for dinner. Grace had gone and got us chicken. By the time we were done eating, my mom was back. We told her all about our time at Dawn's house. It was so fun.

    Wow!! I remember that day, Wren! I really like how you described playing with the dolls and hide and seek. I also really like how you started by writing how you were nervous and excited and at the end, you really had fun! Can't wait to have you all back over! The pool is already open - now we need the warm, sunny days of summer! Keep writing!!

¨ I love the farm.¨ My sister shouted at us, and I felt pretty much the same. We were going to a farm on a random day so I was a little confused. My mom and dad never let us go places for no reason. We all got in the car and we went in the car for a long time just driving and driving. Then we reached ¨ The farm.¨ but the farm was not a farm. It was a bunch of plants in a greenhouse I thought what was that we are at a garden. My mom said that it wasn't exactly a farm she said it was more of a garden with animals.   It was a dark and breezy winter night and I was coming home from my my mom's friends daughters dance recital. I was so much fun and everyone did great! When we got home we parked the car in the garage and we ran to the door because we were so tired.  My sister opened the door and said,¨ It is locked.¨ Everyone tried opening the door but it was definitely locked. No one knew what to do, but my mom unlocked the car and we all went in, except for daddy. ¨Can I honk the horn?¨ I asked Mom. She said no. We were sitting in the front seat because we never get to go in the front. I kept touching all the parts of the steering wheel, trying to find where the horn was hidden. We started opening compartments and touching the mirror. We were actually having fun. HONK!!! The horn finally honked and everyone laughed except for mom.  ¨ I told you no.¨ Mom said. ¨Wait!¨ I screamed I was looking out the window at dad.   An anxious feeling filled my body as I sat patiently, waiting onstage for my numbers to be called. “ You did great in all of your dances,” I told myself. " Why are you getting so nervous? It won't change anything. “ Thinking this just made the anxiousness get worse. The awards had just started, and my first number had been called. “ Featherstone… Platinum.” The announcer called. This was my contemporary dance, my favorite dance this season. In case you didn't know, your dances were ranked with Gold being the lowest and then going High Gold, Platinum, and then Diamond being the highest. My friend Madison went up to retrieve the trophy and pins, and I smiled in relief that we did pretty well.
