The ¨ Farm ¨

¨ I love the farm.¨ My sister shouted at us, and I felt pretty much the same.

We were going to a farm on a random day so I was a little confused. My mom and dad never let us go places for no reason. We all got in the car and we went in the car for a long time just driving and driving. Then we reached ¨ The farm.¨

but the farm was not a farm. It was a bunch of plants in a greenhouse I thought what was that we are at a garden. My mom said that it wasn't exactly a farm she said it was more of a garden with animals.

We walked to the greenhouse to look at plants for relatives for Easter. We found quite a few things. We looked at Garden toys but we couldn't really find anything so we went outside in the back.

There were ducks walking on the path but they were gated up they were in a cage though. Then we looked in a cage and there were peacock a few goats that my sister was really excited about because she loves goats.

Then we went back inside to look at flowers in the other house. We saw lavender, and some pretty other flowers.we picked three other types of flowers.

The for some reason we went into the house with garden tools to look at the garden tools. There was a few things but they weren't so useful. So we went back out.

Then we went to the baby bunnies and the chickens. I begged my mom to have one of those cute baby bunnies but she said no because we would have to take care of it and we already had 2 dogs.

It was so much fun even though I didn't get a baby bunny. #Cute

  2. WOW. So many questions. Well my dogs names are moose and Otis, the drive was about 15 to maybe 20 minutes. There were two baby bunnies left and they were snuggling each other. There were 2 goats and one was light gray and and one was white. there were some lavender apple trees and purple and yellow flowers.

  3. I was hooked when you said you were excited to go the farm and your parents never let you go anywhere for no reason. I was wondering what it would be like. When you explained it wasn’t really a farm, but a place to get plants, it made me wonder if my children have wondered the same. We have a place we go get plants called “Gade Farm” and it is not a farm either (though I never really thought of that until I read your slice). At the end, I thought I guess your parents did have a reason after all. I hope your relatives enjoyed their Easter plants. Thanks for sharing this slice!

  4. Nice, Wren! I would have been excited to see the goats too! My aunt had a farm (not like a garden) but she grew hay and had some animals that she fed the hay to. It was like a hobby farm! She had baby goals, and we got to play with them. She also had peacocks and peahens with so many beautiful feathers!

I liked reading your post today. Your mom shared the link on her Slice of Life.

  5. Love the dialogue lead! It immediately pulled me in. From the first line, I sensed the excitement about going to the farm! Your description of the wandering around put a clear picture in my mind. I wonder if you could weave dialogue/conversation in the part where you beg your mom for the bunny! Thanks for sharing about the farm!
