HOTTTTTT

Last night was an  almost normal night. The temperature was not cold but not hot either. My bed was comfy and the only thing that was different was my mom was visiting her old College. It didn't really affect me sleeping-wise, that's what I thought until I close my eyes.  I thought nothing was different. My bed was comfortable but my room felt a little bit stuffy. I decided to turn on my fan and open my door a little bit to see if that would get rid of the hot air roaming around the room. Although the fan and Open Door were helping, they didn't fix the problem completely. I couldn't think of what else to do, and now the problem was getting worse. It felt as if the room was getting hotter and hotter by the second. I decided that my only option was to get my dad . I slowly walked over to his room so that none of the floorboards would creak and wake up my sisters. I slowly opened his door and saw that there was a light glowing onto his face, I soon realized that it was hi

SORRY

Sorry, I didn't post yesterday; I was out of the house most of the day; let me tell you what I did:  1: I left with my mimi and pop after they set up my mom's birthday present. It is a little book library in front of my house, it's green and really pretty.       2: We went to Home Depot to get pansies. A lot of them were dead, but Mimi and I were able to find some pretty nice ones. We got light purple ones that were big, light purples are were small, dark purples that were big, little white flowers with purple insides, and big white ones. 3: Mimi and I went to her house to plant the flowers while Pop went to get us lunch. We need to buy a few more because not all pots were full.  4: After lunch, we did a little shopping, then went to The Parlor to work because my uncle owns it.

Peach and Pit

Image
In our house, many nights, at dinner, we share the best part of our day (our peach) and the worst part of the day (our pit). Today, we spent the whole day in New York City. We walked around and then we saw Wicked. On our ride home, we shared our peaches and pits. Our mom wrote them down and that's our slice for the day: Me: My p each was breakfast because we went to a restaurant and ordered Oreo waffles. They were waffles with Oreos in the batter, chocolate syrup on top, ice cream, and Oreo crumble. It was delicious. My pit was that it was very crowded in the city. There were a lot of people bumping into me. Rose:  My peach was walking around the city because I liked walking past all the stores. My pit was driving home because there were so many bumps. Adi:  My peach was watching Wicked because I liked it when the winged monkeys were flying over my head. My pit was being itchy. We even had to stop at CVS to buy lotion. I had to smell them all to find one that was just right. Dad:

PILE

Today I had my first haircut by someone who was not my aunt. The lady who cut my hair was a lot like my aunt. They both have red hair, and they both have the same name; my aunt's last name is Carey, and this was the hairdresser's first name.      The salon was very inviting, it had happy music playing, and there was water running in the distance; it was soothing. It also smelled like a beautiful shampoo that smelled like coconut and vanilla. The walls were wood, and they looked tropical.       In the car, my sisters and I had agreed that I would go first. The woman, Carrie, took me to the chair near the sink. She rinsed my hair, put a towel on it, and walked me back to my mom. She started to brush out my hair and then combed my hair to get out knots.          Then tragedy struck. She got out her scissors and started to snip away. I didn't think that she had cut a lot at first; it had seemed like it was only a couple of strands.       I was wrong; there was a pile of

MY DAD THE COOKER

My dad likes to cook,  always in the kitchen,  not really into a book.  On holidays we host,  my dad cooks the most,  with all his heart,  a couple of farts,  but I love him.  Sometimes I just sit and watch,  it's fun to see him,  fun to watch him,  fun to know him.  When the cooking is done,  we can have fun,  pile our food high on our plates,  Dad takes long so we wait.  He is here,  we have no fear,  time to eat,  have a seat.  My dad is the best at cooking,  not the best at looking, eating his food,  puts me in a good mood,  my dad, the cooker.

BAKING

Image
Easter is tomorrow,  and I had to bake,  when I tried to think,  my head had a quake.  " Nest Cake!" I told myself,  so I looked up a recipe,  bought ingredients, and that was the key.  Dry ingredients,  then wet,  mix it together,  and get what you get.  Grease your pan,  pour the batter,  put it in the oven,  hope it doesn´t shatter.  Clean your kitchen,  so mom does not get mad,  time to take it out,  does not look bad.  Frost it,  add sprinkles,  Easter eggs,  watch it twinkle.  You´re all done,  now what you do,  wait for tomorrow,  be proud of you!!

SHORT

Yesterday I had a school dance and let me tell you what happened. When I first got there with my dad, my friends Sophia and Charlotte were not there yet. We waited a little bit until they came, which was about ten minutes. Sophia and Charlotte came and so did Nataly and Jordyn, two other girls in my class. We walked in together and in the hallway, there was a photo booth.       Of course we had to take a couple of pictures, we just had to. We all picked different paper holding things to have in the picture. I picked a balloon one that was very cute. When we were done taking pictures I realized that I had been holding the balloons backwards. We all laughed and then we went into the gym.       We found our friend Caitlin so we all hung out. After about 45 minutes, we were hot and tired. We had been running, singing, and dancing for 45 minutes nonstop. We got water and headed back in. It was very hot in the gym so we kept coming back into the hall to cool off.       After the dance

CAKE!!!

I LOVE CAKE!!!!!! Cake is one of my favorite desserts and on my 9th birthday I needed a special cake. When I thought about an amazing cake, I thought about my uncles girlfriend, Jenny. She had made me a delicious, and pretty Ariel cake for my 3rd or 4th birthday and it was stunning. So when she agreed to make it she asked me what I wanted it to look like.       When I was 9 I loved unicorns so of course I wanted a unicorn cake. When I was in school, I drew a perfectly purple unicorn cake. When I brought it to my mom, she sent it to Jenny. I was not sure what she could do, but I knew Jenny was an artist.       A day before my birthday my mom told me that Jenny sent a picture of the cake, but she would not show me it, all I could do was think that it was bad. That was one of the longest days of my life.       When August 13 finally came I was exited and nervous. When it was cake time and we opened the first cake, it was the rainbow cake that my mom had made for me. Then they opene

When I don't know what to write,  when I just don't know, I feel like I will take a pillow and take throw.  Now is one of those times,  Where I am just making up rhymes, I don't know what to say,  so I take words and play,  Now I have a story.

SLIDE

It was a windy day in Boston, MA ( where my family was visiting ). We had just gone to a deli to get a sandwich and would return to the hotel to enjoy them. The deli was almost a mile away from our hotel, but it didn't feel long.       We were at a crosswalk, and in the distance, I saw a playground. My family and I are always looking for new playgrounds to play at, and so far, we have gone to every single one we have seen. " Can we go?!" I asked my parents while I pointed to the playground.       They gave me a look as if they were saying, " Of course not!!!"        " PLEASE!!" I asked them.       " Sure. " They finally said.      We walked on over to the playground, which was about 5 minutes away from the crosswalk. When we approached the gate, I noticed something I had not noticed before. It was a slide that was very high up. It was about 15-20 yards up in the air!!!       My sister Adi and I ran to the slide's base to go up. The f

NOT TRUE

Image
We can all agree that sometimes, social media is a lie. Let me tell you about one of these times. I and my family were planning a trip to Boston, MA, for a long weekend. My dad was picking me up from my dance class and, for some reason, showed me a picture of an aquarium that we were going to visit. I was excited because it showed the walls as a tank with all types of creatures. The whole time we were in Boston, I was so excited to finally go to the aquarium.      When the day was finally here, I was so excited. When we showed the lady at the front door our tickets, we entered the  aquarium. it was beautiful. There were fish, seals, penguins, and a massive tank in the center. But when I looked at the walls, they were just concrete. But there were a few more rooms, so I didn't lose hope.       When we went into the next room, there were sharks. They were fantastic, but it was not the picture. I kept the picture in my mind as we went into some of the other rooms. None of them

SCHOOL

School Every week day I come into school,  Today I am going to tell you why this is so cool.  Every three days I go to kindergarten, to help them grow just like a garden.  Then I back up to the fifth grade,  so that in a couple of years, I can get paid. We go to special right then after,   Art, Music, Library, and PE,  Art is my favorite out of the 1+3.  When we come back we go to Mrs. Grindle for science and social studies, in there we do experiments with all of our buddies.   Time to switch back again,  I sit at seat that has my name, Wren.  Next up is math,  this is right up my path.  Math is my favorite out of all of the subjects at school, it makes me feel as if I am swimming in a pool.  Lunch is next, super fun,  hold on, school is almost done!!! After recess is reading and writing,  they are both super exciting.  Now it's time to go home,  I guess that school is done, but tomorrow will be just as much fun!!!!!!

Competition Ready

Image
This year I joined the competitive team at my dance studio, we call that the company. I am in Company Fearless with about seven other girls. We go to about three competitions a year and our second one was in Massachusetts. Me, my mom, my aunt, and my two sisters, Adi and Rose, got to stay at a hotel the night before my competition. The night before, my mom and aunt took about 45 minutes, to an hour to straighten my hair. Since my hair is naturally curly, this takes a long time. At least our hotel room had a TV, so I mainly watched TV and had snacks. My mom had to braid my hair so that it was wavy for the competition.       The day of the competition was hectic. I needed to get up at six o'clock to get ready. My mom fixed my hair and put it into a slicked-back bun and I put on my contemporary costume. I do three competition dances but contemporary was my first one. I put on my jacket so that I would not get the makeup on my costume. I have to put on a lot of makeup for comp
