My Heart

My mom's friend Tracey did a slice of life today and she wrote something she was grateful for beginning with each letter of the alphabet. My family and I gave it a try for today's slice of life.

A: My sister Adi. I like to color with her. Also, Ace, my second oldest cousin.

B: Banane-My grandma makes these for us. They are fried plantains and I love them.

C: Cartoons and Coco, my uncle who drives me to school.

D: Dee...my Auntie.

E: Eggs...only when my dad makes them. He makes the best scrambled eggs.

F: Family. I feel like I have the best family.

G: Grandparents. I love my great grandma, my grandma, and my grandpa.

H: Harold, our elf.

I: Ida Carey, actually my Mimi.

J: Jaxson, my oldest cousin.

K: Kerry, this is what my grandma calls my Dad...it's his middle name.

L: Love. I love my family.

M: Mom and Mimi and Maverick-my twin cousin. We are just six days apart. Also, Molly. She
always reads my blog. Maine-where my Mimi and Poppy have a beach house.

N: Niceness.

O: Otis...and Moose. Our dogs.

P: Poppy and my only girl cousin, Prim.

Q: Quinn-my friend since we were little babies.

R: Rose. My baby sister.

S: Stone my youngest cousin.

T: Tulips. I think they're really pretty.

U: Unicorns. They're my favorite animal.

V: Viola Swamp-I like that book (Miss Nelson is missing) and lots of other books.

W: Weethne, my uncle.

X: eXtra dessert.

Y: Yarn, for making crafts. I like to create things.

Z: Zoos. We like to visit zoos as a family.

Now you know what's in my heart. Can you read it from the start?

    I love that you tried this for your slice. I also learned more about you from reading what you are grateful for. Everyone in my family did the same slice, even Al! It was fun to share. Maybe you can convince your whole family to try. Rose might need some help! ;)

The ¨ Farm ¨

¨ I love the farm.¨ My sister shouted at us, and I felt pretty much the same. We were going to a farm on a random day so I was a little confused. My mom and dad never let us go places for no reason. We all got in the car and we went in the car for a long time just driving and driving. Then we reached ¨ The farm.¨ but the farm was not a farm. It was a bunch of plants in a greenhouse I thought what was that we are at a garden. My mom said that it wasn't exactly a farm she said it was more of a garden with animals. We walked to the greenhouse to look at plants for relatives for Easter. We found quite a few things. We looked at Garden toys but we couldn't really find anything so we went outside in the back. There were ducks walking on the path but they were gated up they were in a cage though.   It was a dark and breezy winter night and I was coming home from my my mom's friends daughters dance recital. I was so much fun and everyone did great! When we got home we parked the car in the garage and we ran to the door because we were so tired.  My sister opened the door and said,¨ It is locked.¨ Everyone tried opening the door but it was definitely locked. No one knew what to do, but my mom unlocked the car and we all went in, except for daddy. ¨Can I honk the horn?¨ I asked Mom. She said no. We were sitting in the front seat because we never get to go in the front. I kept touching all the parts of the steering wheel, trying to find where the horn was hidden. We started opening compartments and touching the mirror. We were actually having fun. HONK!!! The horn finally honked and everyone laughed except for mom.  ¨ I told you no.¨ Mom said. ¨Wait!¨ I screamed I was looking out the window at dad. Dance

  An anxious feeling filled my body as I sat patiently, waiting onstage for my numbers to be called. “ You did great in all of your dances,” I told myself. " Why are you getting so nervous? It won't change anything. “ Thinking this just made the anxiousness get worse. The awards had just started, and my first number had been called. “ Featherstone… Platinum.” The announcer called. This was my contemporary dance, my favorite dance this season. In case you didn't know, your dances were ranked with Gold being the lowest and then going High Gold, Platinum, and then Diamond being the highest. My friend Madison went up to retrieve the trophy and pins, and I smiled in relief that we did pretty well.
