Glitch, Glitch

It was a cloudy day in Winter and I was on Zoom with my teacher and classmates. 

Recently my computer had been going black and it wasn't dead. I was always scared to exit full screen because it would just go black. 

It was our reading meet and we were actually doing read aloud.

¨I am going to put you in breakout rooms now!¨

We were going to talk about our book that we were reading, [ Well she was reading! ] I was exited because I loved to go in breakout rooms.

I was in a room with my reading buddy Jennifer. She is really smart and good at reading. 

Then my teacher came in and told us to go to Jam board. I was thinking, What if it glitches and turns black again. ¨ Well only one way to find out.¨ I whispered on mute. And then...

It went black!!!

Now usually we leave it alone for 10 minutes and so I left it for 20. Nothing, absolutely nothing. 

¨ Poppy!!!¨ I yelled ¨ My computer went black and I tried charging it and leaving it¨

He came in and looked.

¨I´ll call daddy¨ He told me.

So when dad came he asked me if I had dropped it and I told him no. Then he asked if I was messing with it, I said no. last he asked me if it was old, that was the only time I said yes.

So he brought me and my sisters home so he could look better.

¨It´s completely broken!¨ He told me.

The next day I used my mom´s computer and then eventually my mom bought me a new Chromebook, and it is a touchscreen!!!

I love my new Chromebook!

    My favorite line was “Well only one way to find out.¨ I whispered on mute.” I do this all the time too!

¨ I love the farm.¨ My sister shouted at us, and I felt pretty much the same. We were going to a farm on a random day so I was a little confused. My mom and dad never let us go places for no reason. We all got in the car and we went in the car for a long time just driving and driving. Then we reached ¨ The farm.¨ but the farm was not a farm. It was a bunch of plants in a greenhouse I thought what was that we are at a garden. My mom said that it wasn't exactly a farm she said it was more of a garden with animals.   It was a dark and breezy winter night and I was coming home from my my mom's friends daughters dance recital. I was so much fun and everyone did great! When we got home we parked the car in the garage and we ran to the door because we were so tired.  My sister opened the door and said,¨ It is locked.¨ Everyone tried opening the door but it was definitely locked. No one knew what to do, but my mom unlocked the car and we all went in, except for daddy. ¨Can I honk the horn?¨ I asked Mom. She said no. We were sitting in the front seat because we never get to go in the front. I kept touching all the parts of the steering wheel, trying to find where the horn was hidden. We started opening compartments and touching the mirror. We were actually having fun. HONK!!! The horn finally honked and everyone laughed except for mom.  ¨ I told you no.¨ Mom said. ¨Wait!¨ I screamed I was looking out the window at dad.   An anxious feeling filled my body as I sat patiently, waiting onstage for my numbers to be called. “ You did great in all of your dances,” I told myself. " Why are you getting so nervous? It won't change anything. “ Thinking this just made the anxiousness get worse. The awards had just started, and my first number had been called. “ Featherstone… Platinum.” The announcer called. This was my contemporary dance, my favorite dance this season. In case you didn't know, your dances were ranked with Gold being the lowest and then going High Gold, Platinum, and then Diamond being the highest. My friend Madison went up to retrieve the trophy and pins, and I smiled in relief that we did pretty well.
